Why Uniforms?

Security. On field trips, students in uniform aid the teachers in keeping track of everyone. On the playground or in the school, teachers and staff can clearly identify students from outsiders.

Attitude. All human actions, including outward manifestations such as clothing, reveal the disposition of the heart at some level.

Environment. The uniform policy enhances a ready-to-learn atmosphere.

Unity. The student is part of a group identity that strives for excellence, and the code visually communicates that they are all on the same mission toward that end.

Focus. The uniform code de-emphasizes the social impact of dress and helps focus the students on character and academic issues.

Uniforms

We offer a variety of uniform options to choose from, purchased through our partner, Crivelli's. All items include logos for both our St. George Christian Academy and Homeschool Enrichment Program (SHIELD). However, we want to allow parents to be good stewards of their finances and to “shop around” for deals on school uniforms. In order to accommodate this, students may wear clothing from different suppliers that conform to the St. George and SHIELD uniform requirements.

As a religious organization our school exercises the right to admit like-minded Christian families. The School shall admit students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It shall not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship programs, financial assistance and loan programs, athletic programs, and other school administered programs and activities. As a religious organization our school exercises the right to hire like-minded Christian individuals. The School shall not unlawfully discriminate in hiring, promotion, discharge, pay, fringe benefits, job training, classification, referral, and other aspects of employment on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, age, or sex.
